San Antonio Hello people! Fourth week, and we began to prepare to say goodbye to Austin. In about 10 days we are leaving the lone star state to come back to Brazil. So many great experiences we lived. A very fun experience I had was visiting the city of San Antonio. The city is very beautiful and full of life. During our day there we took a boat tour which was incredible! During the tour our guide was talking about the buildings and the history of the city, but to be honest I was so impressed by the beauty of the place that I barely listened to him. Sorry! We also got to know the place where the Alamo was, I didn't see ruins or anything, but we walked through what was the site of an important battle for American history. In addition to historic places, we passed by the riverside by bars and shops, bought souvenirs and ate ice cream. It was a very pleasant day and I would love to go back there again to get t

Snow day! Hello people! The third week had just started and we received the news that we would have a "snow day". But what is a snow day? In Brazil we don't have that, we barely have snow (but we do!). Snow day is like a holiday, students love it (I loved it), because classes are canceled due to weather conditions, in Austin's case: ice. Yes, ice, not snow. An icy rain arrived in the city and left frozen the roads, sidewalks and also trees, preventing cars and buses from traveling safely, so almost everything closes, and people stay at home where it is warm. We really enjoyed the snow days, we were exausted, and three days a tour apartment let us rest, read, watch series, conect with each other and cook! Fabiana, who lives with me, cooked some brazilian food and it was heaven, and our teacher Megan did a zoom call teaching us how to bake cookies and brownies, they were deliecious. Well, three days just passed super fast and on Friday our classes returned,

Second week - joys and sorrows Hello people! Second week in Austin Tx, and what a week! That wasn’t the best week of all. I had a very difficult situation, but I will not let it destroy my happiness. This week was our first full classes week, and it was tiring! But having so many great people with me makes everything better. This week I was able to get closer to other people from my group, and it was so nice! I don't know what would have happened to me without the support and affection of my colleagues, I really felt destroyed at a certain point, and their strength helped me to get up and believe that I was going to get out of that terrible situation. It's not over yet, but I know I'm not alone. Let’s talk about the good things! This week we visited a museum here in Austen: Bullock Texas State History Museum. This is a museum about Texas history, and we were able to know all Texas history, since the native people whose lived here, to today. One very special moment w

Hello people! Here I am in Austin, Texas!!! I'm so excited to share with you everything I'm experiencing here. That first week was crazy! So tiring! We just arrived and the activities started! On Monday we were welcomed with pizza! It was delicious! And our apartment is amazing, so cozy and cool. On Tuesday we had a welcome meeting with some important information about the university and the course. In the afternoon we did a city tour, in which we could see some beautiful places in the city. On Wednesday classes started, and the rush. You don't think it's easy, because it's not. We got lost between classes and the cafeteria, we arrived late to some classes even though we left places early. At night we were exhausted. On Thursday I wasn't feeling well so I went back home to get some rest and went back to college to eat in the evening. On Friday there were more classes and in the afternoon we visited the capitol of the city, which is a historic and very beautiful
